O&M
Five shows, three days, one runway series.
The brief.
O&M's team was doing the hair for Australian Fashion Week. The work was happening backstage and almost none of it was going to be seen — closeups of the hair being made, not just the finished look walking past. O&M engaged YSS to cover it: runway, backstage and street style, across three shooting days in May 2025.
Five shows across three days — AMISS, The Frontier, Farage, Alix Higgins and Ngali — with a crew split between street style, backstage and the runway itself. The output ran as the YSS Runway Series: a numbered carousel per show, built to a fixed three-beat structure of brand origin, our read on it, and what salons can take from it. Alongside it, a get-the-look per day, a wrap-up reel, daily stories, and a backstage interview bank of twenty questions that ranged from the practical to how many cans of Red Bull you've had this morning.
Every show covered under embargo — nothing published until each show closed at 6pm.
